How Do Mood Cards Work?
As you become stressed the body goes into a state called ‘fight or flight’, when in this state your blood drains from your extremities (i.e. hands) and rushes to your muscles and heart to prepare for fighting or running (this is an involuntary reaction)
This action makes your fingers cooler as there is less warm blood circulating, the sensor on the mood card can detect the change in temperature and the sensor changes colour accordingly.
They are easy to keep in a wallet or purse as they are business card sized and can be used whenever you suspect that you may be stressed.
If the colour indicates that you are stressed why not try our ‘3 Minute Breathing Space’ a simple exercise that can be added to your phone and listened to anytime, it will help you calm down.
How to use
Simply hold your thumb or finger over the sensor for approximately 10 seconds to see the sensor change colour.
The colour readings on the front of the card will explain what the colours mean.
