The International Stress Management Association (ISMAUK) is the professional association for wellbeing and stress management practitioners. The primary focus is to enhance professional standards and excellence in professional practice.
Founded in 1974, ISMA supports members to influence organisations, managers and individuals in the workforce to adopt proven techniques, skills and methods to prevent and manage stress at work. At the heart of this is the ISMA Charter for Wellbeing and Performance at Work. This provides a template for leaders and managers on how organisations should look, feel and behave once they have a positive working culture.
ISMAUK is the sponsor of National Stress Awareness Day which takes place on the first Wednesday of each November.
